My autistic son thinks this is the best invention ever so the cost is irrelevant to me. The ability to control the lights makes him very proud and he has installed them behind and around his entertainment center. He actually chooses to play with the lights before starting any video game now. That's a win for me!

Lumary has made some of the best sets of eave lights for a number of years now, including eave lights with temp and brightness-adjustable white LEDs beside the main RGB LEDs which do a great job of adding brightness and color to the light strings. Now Lumary is taking its outdoor eave light tech indoors. These are only indoor lights. They're not waterproof. But they're otherwise much like Lumary's eave lights, save that they shine up and down, not just down like the eave lights.

These lights also have the fancier white LED reinforcement of the RGB LEDs found in Lumary's most expensive outdoor lights.

Because these lights shine up and down, Lumary calls them "sconce" lights, and it's not an entirely inapt comparison. The lights are packed with LEDs. There aren't just RGB and white LEDs, but there are also up-shining and down-shining RGB and white lights. Thus, there are as many LEDs in this set as in a 14-light eave light string.

Lumary's app is proprietary and as good as Hue's app. I often wish for a non-proprietary app from makers of smart light strings because purpose-built apps from small manufacturers are so often janky. Not with Lumary. Lumary's app is top notch.

Lumary is a top maker of this kind of lighting product, every bit as good as Hue. If you like the look of these lights as they appear in the pictures on this product page, you'll like the lights themselves even more.

This was easy to install and connect to my google eco system. Wanted some nice indirect lighting I could use along one wall where I keep the tv. This fit perfectly there for that. Looks very stylish above the tv. The functions and preset scenes in it are perfect and make it almost limitless for what you can do with it.
