Lumary Smart RGBAI Ceiling Fan Light - Voice/APP Control, 380 RGBAI Effects, Adjustable Brightness

Wow night and day compared to the other like brands. First this was better packaged, all the instillation materials (except batteries) and it installed easily with the wires provided. If I had to pick one thing they could improve on is room in the base for wires and the RF module because it was a little to snug for me to get it to screw closed. Took more than three tries. Overall the light is bright and fun and the fan is supper quiet.

This is the perfect fixture for a child's bedroom/ playroom/ home office.

-PROS- The many different features and combinations of settings, allow you to illuminate your room in Dozens of different ways. If you simply want light, then the highest daylight setting coupled with the design, will fully illuminate your room beyond your expectations. The color changing pattern and timer seeing are enough to keep your kid memorized for hours. Additionally, the fan runs so quiet that you might forget it's on. Very simple to install as well.

-CON- The control of this fixture by smartphone app or voice control is only possibly with a WiFi/ home network preceding 5G. That means if you have 5G in your home, you can't use your phone to control anything - you will only be able to use the remote that comes with it - so didn't misplace the remote. **Honorable mention to this company though, that if you reach out to them, they will allow you to purchase another remote.**

In all, this fixture goes beyond what I needed in my kids room. They love it, I love it and I recommend it.

I replaced 2 old school fans with these, plus 2 other similar-factor smart fans from other brands that were annoying us. My only regret is not doing so sooner.

These are built very well for the price point, crazy easy to install, and bright enough even for a guest room that has been notoriously hard to light well. The smart features and Alexa integration are serviceable; the skill integration creates separate "devices" in Alexa for the fan, the colored light, and the main light, which is fine for basic control. Anything more complicated can be accomplished by creating scenes in the Lumary app, which also appear for triggering in Alexa routines. I wish companies would work on making smart home simpler, but functional seems to be the best we can get, and these devices are both functional and reliable.

The only drawback is that this type of small fan is best for general air circulation, which it does quietly and effectively when set to ~30% speed. It's not going to give you a big breeze the way a fan with 40-inch blades does. If you crank it to high speed it can get a bit noisy, I can't cite decibels but at full speed it's about as loud as the "medium" setting on one of our white noise machines. The other two brands we had behaved similarly. If you want something that moves a lot of air quietly, this type of fan probably isn't for you.

I bought two of these fans for my Florida Room. In January 2024 I had them installed by an electrician that was doing other work on my house. I could have easily done it my self, couple screw, three wire caps, and you twist the unit onto the ceiling mount. Unfortunately, in March, one of the fans just stopped working, I reset them, had the power confirmed to the box, nothing was wrong with the wiring but one of the units would not come on. I contacted Lumary and after confirming that all the proper steps to set up the unit were done, they sent me a new one. I was able to swap it out in 10 minutes and link it to my Wi-Fi. All done and everything is working.

It was very easy to put up, runs quietly, and puts out a good amount of wind for a larger than average bedroom. The rainbow color setting is particularly beautiful. And boy does it get bright if you want it to!!

A few minor drawbacks
The remote buttons could be better labeled or explained in the manual. I have no idea what some of them do, and the app could use some updating to offer more customization options.

Installation was a breeze (pun intended) and it connected very easily to my WiFi.

I included a video of me changing the light from 1% brightness to 100% brightness, then I show it without the white light. I also included a pic of the app “scenes” options and what the fan looks light straight out of the box.

Don’t get excited about the music option…you have to have the Lumary app open on your phone for it to “work”…but it’s definitely not an impressive feature. If this matters to you, this is not the fan for you. If a strong quiet fan and bright light is what you want most, get this one!
