This product is made with nicer quality materials that make the units feel physically secure and stable. The installation of the units are very straightforward and don't really involve any extra steps beyond what is normal for most recessed lights, with the only additional step being pairing it to your phone and the app that controls the set. The lighting, once installed, is very cool and really versatile in terms of color and brightness options - this set works perfectly well as a standard white/yellow light source for normal usage but can quickly turn the room into a party-like atmosphere with the RGB settings. Additionally, the gimbal lights add even more versatility to the set since you can physically angle the lighting to better cover certain parts of the room, adding an extra customization elements that other smart recessed lights generally lack.

Overall, this is a good set and I would recommend.

Full and fair disclosure.... I have NOT installed this yet. And I will update the review once I have done so. But at first glance, these look really nice and modern. Way more of a weight to them than I thought they would have. I assumed they would be rather flimsy/cheaply made, but they are not. I saw on the review that the lights toggle, which I thought would be a bit weird. But they don't toggle all that much and it works for how the lights are set up. I ordered the 6" light and will be swapping out an existing traditional 6 inch recessed can light. This will definitely take up the entire hole where the existing light is. Great size and I am excited to install this!

I have always been aggravated by kitchen lighting. Usually what's mounted on the ceiling is stationary and because of that, you end up standing in a spot where YOU are the shadow with the light overhead blocked while you are working on breadmaking, cutting out cookies...y'know, stuff you want to be able to SEE what you are doing! I got the set like this one that were 4" gimbals as a way to illuminate some artwork hanging in my hallway and they were so amazing I got this set for my kitchen. The reason is the gimbal - it allows me to move the light itself in case I need it "here" or "here," y'know? Oh, of course the light is in a fixed spot on the ceiling, but these took the place of an ugly, one light fixture on the kitchen ceiling. I now have 4, 6" gimbal lights that are just as amazing as the ones in my hallway - synced on my phone so I can voice control them with Alexa. The only thing that I wish is that the gimbal part could also be controlled by voice, but so far, I haven't seen how it can be. I just use a stepstool and push the light to where I need it at the time in my kitchen. Other than that, these are amazing and I love the colors and the bright white lights and give me much more useful lighting in a room I spend a LOT of time in!

It was very easy to replace our existing recessed lights in our living room with these lights. My husband loves colorful lights, so this was super fun for him. The white is really bright, which is nice when you need to see clearly in the room. But for various lighting moods, the remote control allowed us to quickly and easily make adjustments to the colors. It's funny, because in these photos, it almost looks like the lights themselves remain white and the ceiling changes colors, but in person, you can see the varying light changes.

While this set has an added feature of being able to angle the lights the way you want them, for us, straight down worked best. We are really enjoying these lights.

I have other colored WiFi lights and I was so happy that this light syncs with Google home and everything matches.

My husband installed this with ease. Plus pairing was easy as well. I love that it can tilt but lets be honest Im not tilting my ceiling light often as its not super easy to just reach and tilt. But its there if you do need to have lights at an angle.

Id say that some of the lights could be brighter but Im just comparing to other lights that Ive owned and where I have it, its perfect for my needs.
