Lumary Smart Indoor Neon Rope Lights

I got this 9.8ft Lumary neon rope light mostly out of curiosity and let me tell you, I’m glad I did. I just placed along the wall it in my bedroom (which doubles as a gaming cave and occasionally a laundry sorting zone), and it instantly upgraded the space from “meh” to “modern lounge.”

The rope is flexible and soft, so you don’t feel like you’re fighting with it the whole time. The clips have adhesive backing or you can screw them in if you use them. I may change it later but the DIY possibilities are endless if you’re the creative type or have a teenager in the house who is.

The color range is seriously impressive. You get RGB, warm white, and cool white, so it can go from party mode to “I need to pretend to be my age for company” mode with just a tap. It works seamlessly with Alexa, which means I can say, “Alexa, set the lights to ‘red alert,’” and instantly feel like I’m on the Starship Enterprise. You can also use the phone app to control it and do any customization.

If you’re into smart home gadgets, mood lighting, or just want something that makes your room look cooler than it is this is worth every penny. My only complaint? Now I want to put one in every room.

These lights are fantastic and do a great job mimicking much more expensive alternatives. The installation is flexible, allowing for creative setups based on your space and style. I used them to create a racetrack design that perfectly complements my automotive-themed office décor. The lighting functions are abundant and work flawlessly, making this a unique and eye-catching addition to any room.

It does bend well and hold its shape so you can make various wall art with this LED strip. It keeps its shape well and can bend to some tight angles if needed. The length though is not that long, so some designs, like the eagle face shown on the cover of the light, might be challenging to pull off with just one of these. Functionally though they work well. The colors are accurate and good selection of RGB modes, and it can get quite bright. I doubt this is water proof, its meant for indoor use. Value for the money seems pretty good. you get good quality and decent amount of light for the cost, though it could be a little longer to be able to make more intricate designs with.

Really nice light rope that puts out some great color. Install is very easy and hardware was included. They work great and the adhesive quality has been good enough to hold my basic wave design to the wall for the last several weeks. Definitely a value compared to others and I haven't noticed a quality difference!

I ordered these to go behind my desk because my regular LED strip lights just weren’t bright or smooth enough. These rope lights are about 9.5 feet long and since my desk is only around 6 feet I had to cut off about 3 feet but once I did they were perfect. I absolutely love how bright they are!

Quick tip if you need to cut them: measure your space first and lay the rope lights alongside a measuring tape. Mark the spot you need but cut a little past that (maybe about a foot longer) so you have enough room for adjustments. You can see faint lines when the lights are off, which show a rough area of where the cut is. To find the actual cut line inside the rubber, gently wedge smaller scissors between the LED and the rubber sleeve then carefully trim along the rubber until you can clearly see the cut mark on the light itself. The rubber can make the cut lines hard to see and it’s easy to make a mistake. I’m glad I gave myself that extra foot the first time because I did mess up the cut but I had enough extra to fix it.
