Lumary Smart Recessed Light Pro 4 Inch

This light fixture is really cool! We have used the slim, wafer-style LED light fixtures is all of the main living areas of our home and we love them. The fact that this one has a built in night light makes it really useful. We are in the middle of updating our 60s-era home that was definitely a "lamps first" design, so lighting has been a big focus for us. We also still have some younger children, so having night lights is something we still consider. This fixture is going to be going in our main bedroom hallway where we have 3 bedrooms and a bathroom and it will go either in the middle of the hall or by the bathroom so the little ones can find their way if they need to use it in the middle of the night.I like this one, also, because it also has an app that we can use to set a schedule for the night light function as well as the color, brightness, etc. We got the white fixture to match the rest of them in our house, but there were other options as well. And even with the night light (which is a thin, translucent ring area that sits between the decorative bezel and the ceiling), this is a super thin light and it looks great. It's well made and really a great fixture. These fixtures are really easy to install. They have a built-in junction box and you just have to strip your hot and neutral wires and use the included wire nuts to connect everything. Then slide the box up into the ceiling through the hole you've cut and then use the spring-loaded tension mounts to hold the light up and you are done. Like I said: We have used these types of lights all over our home. I have installed more than 30 of them. From the time we mark where the light is going to flipping the switch to turn it on, we have gotten the installation down to about 20 minutes, and that includes running new cable. They are really easy, especially if you are doing a bunch. You can get really fast. HOWEVER: If working with electricity makes you uncomfortable, obviously get a licensed electrician. Don't risk it.

Solid recessed light with a very nice halo effect. This looks great, plenty bring on the main lights and the halo offers a mood lighting or a night lighting. Super impressed with the build quality, each one feels really solid in the hand. The external junction box is tethered, so installation is super easy. The main light is only adjustable to white tones, while the ring or halo can do any RGB color you desire. To get the features to work, you need to download their app on your iPhone or Android device. It's functional but not great. I wish these came with connectivity via Z-Wave for my Home Assistant system, as I'm not a huge fan of having tons of IOT devices on WIFI. Being that these combine a great recessed light with a VERY nice halo effect light, it's a great value.

Of all the other similar lights I have used, this one has the most "wow" effect because of its surprisingly nice design! This is a white light with adjustable temperature, and includes a full RGB night light. I integrated this into my Google account to give voice control and like other Lumary products, it works within their app.Pros:• Brilliant color range with RGB and white temp.• Voice and app control• Music sync and other features in the app• Easy installation and ultra-thin profileCons:• Not compatible with traditional dimmer switches (wi-devices like this offer more functions that can't be easily operated from traditional switches.• Requires 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (no 5GHz support)

This Lumary electric smart WiFi light is an excellent piece for someone who wants to be able to change light settings without even getting up. Using WiFi to adjust colors and settings in this light but also being able to use it in an existing hole and clip into ceiling is priceless. It’s an LED so it’ll save you money and last for a long time, and also make your addition/Reno a great and well lit room.

I really like this light with the colored ring around the white light. It really looks nice. It can be controlled via the Smart Life app. It was easy to set up in the app. It connected up to my WiFi with no problems. This light, like many others, lacks a UL mark and it is not intended for installation in a UL approved can fixture. Because of this I installed it in a non flammable surface and I also put a 0.5 amp 250 volt fuse in the junction box that feeds this light.
