Lumary Smart Recessed Lighting 6 Inch Ultra-Thin RGBCW Dimmable Hue Downlight 13W 1100LM,Voice Control Via Alexa/Google/Siri

I bought these slim 6" lights to use on my covered deck. The back of each light states they are "Suitable for Damp Locations." My deck is stained black, so I spray painted the small electrical boxes that accompany each light. The exposed rafters are 16" on center, so I built 4 wooden fixtures onto which the lights attach. I purchased a Utoolmart Bimetal 6.2" Hole Saw 160mm from Amazon to cut the holes.
Installation was easy. I attached the electrical boxes to the rafters then ran black rubber encased 16/3 wire to the boxes. Note: If you continue your wire run from one box to the next, there's not a lot of room for all that wire and wire nuts but it can be done (EDIT, I recommend Wago lever-nuts, they use less room.) I attached the fixtures then the lights. The length of the white wire from the box to the light is 10 inches when plugged together, so you have a plenty of mounting/placement options with this light set.
If you have the app on your phone open when you plug in the light, it will automatically find the lamp for you. Note, it uses 2.4G wireless, so have your phone connected to it when you do this (I have a 5G w/l band, too, which I am usually connected to.) Help is a little lacking in the app, but not enough to knock any stars off.

Pretty easy set up, very plug and play in my opinion. The brightness is subtle, which gives good ambiance. Easy to use, good directions, so far the quality is good, we'll see how long it lasts, I'll update review if needed.

I replaced my existing plain white eave lights with these. The white is just as bright as the current, maybe brighter. Getting the 7 connected was pretty easy too. I then set them up to be a room. I haven't seen how I could control the color of them all at once, but you can set them individually to one setting. Below is my setup of them as a room and the color selection screen for one of the lights. They had some changing color themes, but not a red, white, and blue one

I compared several smart downlights online before choosing Lumary. After receiving and installing it, I found that its performance and effects far exceeded my expectations, and I am very satisfied.

first off lets start where everyone starts when they buy something from anywhere... the packaging. as soon as i took it out of the amazon packaging you could tell that this light has already been opened and used. i dont remember buying a used light. pretty sure it should have came new and unopened. as i reopen the already opened box the light wasnt even in the packaging correctly further confirming that i was sent a used light.

this light connects through bluetooth to your phone or other device or through wifi. you also need to connect your location so the app knows where the light is for some reason. shouldnt have to give out my location to connect to an LED light so im not sure why thats a thing but it is.

after setting up the light and connecting with the app it offers pretty much a standard brightness that a 4inch LED light offers but it is also able to change between colors. the app has a bunch of different modes you can go through or you can create your own. when the light turns off it stores the settings in the light so when its turned back on it goes right back to the scene it was on.

all in all its a decent light.. maybe a little expensive, you have to connect your location to it AND theres a chance you may get a used pack even if you bought a new 1

UPDATE:
Unknowingly, the company has responded in a GOOD way. they reached out on their own to make sure that i was satisfied with their lights. they seemed very concerned that i was sent a used light and wanted to send our a replacement. that tells me that they genuinely care about their customers. to me that means the world. so many companies will brush you off and not give a second thought about how you felt about their product. NOT THIS COMPANY!! they care about the products they put out and how their customers respond to them.

they lights overall are some great lights. easy to control and setup. they dont run extremely hot like some other brands out there.

as an electrician i can say that i would love to work with this company again. not only do they have some great products but they have a team of employees that work together with the customers to make sure you are satisfied. thats a big plus in my book.
