Smart Recessed Lighting Dimmable Color Changing Recessed Lighting Alexa

Despite being a remodel contractor for over 20 years and having purchased and installed hundreds of recessed lights, I am only now making a foray into smart light fixtures. I am purchasing a home to remodel for myself and thought I would give smart lighting (as well as other smart fixtures) a try.

The Lumary 3 Inch Ultra-Thin Smart LED Recessed Lights 7W WiFi Bluetooth Recessed Lighting with Junction Box LED Ceiling Downlight Work with Alexa/Google Assistant 4 Pack is a great all around product. Like many of the newer, thin line (non smart) LED recessed lights I have installed, the Lumary 3" lights are a breeze to connect and install, especially in remodel situations where space is limited. The smart controls were also a breeze to set up and learn.

I rigged a temporary power supply and switch to connect one of the lights for testing. After doing so, I downloaded the free app and followed the simple instructions to connect the fixture. I love the fact that I will have a variety of ways to control the light: wall switch, Bluetooth remote through my phone or tablet, and voice control via Alexa or Google (I use Alexa). While a wall switch will only turn the lights on and off, the app and voice control provide you a broad range of functions including: dimming, vast color choices, timers, programmable/scheduled lighting; lighting themes, auto on and off for daylight and nighttime in your area, and auto on and off when you arrive or leave home. You can even have the lighting respond to music and sound.

It's pretty amazing what you can do with smart lighting. The Lumary 3" recessed smart lights are are a very good quality with amazing brightness and functions. I would readily recommend these to others.

All four tested perfectly w no hiccups, and connected quicker that any of the other 3 brands I have of lights like these - super pleased.

There is only one template in the box, so be careful with that. I suggest finding the proper size hole saw, and then writing it on the template. Save the template - never know when you might want to remodel again!

This four pack of LED recessed lights is great. The lights hold in place by a set of spring clips. Very easy to install. The light can has a cord that runs to an electrical box that you place in the ceiling and hardwire your 120 volt power into. The installation app works well and is east to follow. The lights work well with Alexa. The small size allows you to install them in areas where larger lights would not necessarily fit. Great addition for mood lighting and dimmable lighting.

These recessed lights are great! They connect through Tuya's platform, so chances are you might already have an account ready to go for them. It's simple to set up through the app, and I like that they have a low profile light with a separate box for the electronics, as it makes installation easy since you can wire up the box on its own without having the entire light in your way as you do it.

I installed these in the kitchen and dining room as a surprise for my wife, and she loves them! The install was easy and clean, and setup wasn't hard at all. They are controllable through smart apps as well as via Alex or Google Assistant. Bottom line, they look great, are easy to install. Great lights!!
